Me: how long will i like you like this, how long will you think about me
Him: i don’t know, hopefully forever
I remember this moment of conversation, approximately 8 years ago, with a certain guy. It’s funny how through years and pomp and circumstance the snippet of conversation above is still completely relevant to my life. I always find myself wondering how long will it last, how long with this person be in my life. And while there are often reassurances that the other person intends to make things work I become scared and I make a mess of everything. This time around, I will try to be confident in knowing that it’s okay to be happy. Maybe my life isn’t a circle.

And in their triumph die, like fire and powder,
Which, as they kiss, consume.”- Romeo & Juliet
